‘I often work in a state of complicated decision making. Particular colours and the relationship of spaces in a composition, the meaning behind each shape and the reference to subject matter, consume me entirely’
I have a fascination for creative peoples lives and studio spaces. I really enjoy hearing their creative journeys and getting a glimpse into how they lay out their artistic spaces.
I visited Michele Bryant’s home based studio which was jam packed with materials and artwork. Michele uses a wide range of media to create her artwork. She works with metal, wood, resin, glass, oil on board, printmaking techniques and mould making techniques.
At the time she was working on a series of small planes and tree silhouettes amongst many other artworks. Michele has regular exhibitions New Zealand wide and her work is represented in private and public collections nationally and internationally.
